PREPARE FOR APPOINTMENT
- Plan ahead so you can be on time for the scheduled appointment. Feel free to notify me at 840-356-8100 (call or text) if you are running late (I understand that unplanned situations can occur)
- Payment is required prior to any notary services to be performed.
- All appointments will be charged a mobile/travel fee that is included in the total service fee
- If an appointment is needed after normal business hours, please feel free to contact me to see if there is an available time
- A VALID ADDRESS and PHONE NUMBER are required
- VALID ID is required before notary services can be performed (See “VALID ID” next section)

CALIFORNIA NOTARY PUBLIC SECRETARY OF STATE defines the following as acceptable forms of ID, provided it is current or was issued within 5 years:
- ID or Driver’s License issued by the CA DMV;
- United States passport;
- Inmate ID card issued by the CA Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, if the inmate is in custody in CA state prison;
- The following forms of ID, provided it contains a photograph, description, signature and identifying number:
- A valid consular ID document issued by a consulate from the applicant’s country of citizenship, or a valid passport from the applicant’s country of citizenship;
- A driver’s license issued by another state of by a Canadian or Mexican public agency authorized to issue driver’s licenses;
- An ID card issued by another state;
- A US military ID card (caution: current military ID cards might not contain all required information);
- An employer ID card issued by an agency or office of the State of CA, or an agency or office of a city, county, or city and county in CA;
- An ID card issued by a federally recognized tribal government
REASONS SERVICES CANNOT BE PROVIDED:
- Signer lacks valid ID or 2 Credible Witnesses with valid/proper ID;
- Signer must be in possession of physical ID card/passport (temporary or copies are not acceptable);
- Signer does not have the document(s) needing to be notarized;
- Document signer is not present;
- Signer is incoherent, unaware, or lacks the ability to clearly understand the documents they are being asked to sign;
- Signer is unable to communicate with notary without assistance. Use of a translator is not allowed per California Notary Public guidelines;
- Signer and any person present who is sick with a contagious medical condition. THIS MUST BE DISCLOSED PRIOR TO SCHEDULING APPOINTMENT.
